Before you begin

Use this checklist before creating a Stackyapper workspace.

Company identity

The person creating the workspace needs:

The email entered on the signup form must match the verified email returned by the identity provider.

New companies choose a plan during onboarding. Have an approved payment method and authority to accept the Stackyapper terms for the company.

The signup screen shows the current plan prices before checkout. Review the checkout summary before completing payment.

Choose one app for the first connection. Before starting, confirm:

The app is listed as available or beta in the Stackyapper portal.
You have the provider role needed to create or authorize its connection.
You have the required URL, region, API credential, or OAuth application details.
The provider account contains a small, non-sensitive record you can safely retrieve during verification.

Provider requirements differ. Stackyapper displays the fields and setup guidance for the selected app in its connection dialog.

Have one supported client ready:

ChatGPT
Claude or Claude Code
Codex
Another MCP client that supports Streamable HTTP and OAuth or bearer-token authentication

Interactive clients should use OAuth. Reserve API keys for headless clients that cannot complete an interactive sign-in.

For the first test:

Use one app.
Grant one or a small number of read-only tools.
Request no more than five records.
Do not enable create, update, delete, reboot, execute, or credential-sensitive tools.

This makes it easier to validate identity, policy, provider access, and audit behavior independently.
