Only an owner of the managing/root workspace can view or change subscription billing.
Open Settings → Plan & billing in that workspace. Managed customer workspaces do not
show billing controls or the managing account's wholesale workspace pricing.
Read the subscription summary
The summary shows:
Current plan and subscription status
Renewal date, or end date when cancellation is scheduled
Current tool-call usage
Active managed customer workspace count
The itemized monthly estimate separates the base plan and usage add-ons. It is
an operational estimate, not a replacement for the current Stripe invoice.
Manage the subscription
Use Manage subscription to open the billing portal for invoices, payment
method, and subscription management. Use Upgrade to Business when the
workspace needs managed SAML, SCIM, audit export, or longer audit retention.
Change or cancel your plan
Plan changes are owner-only. Managed customer workspace increases and decreases
are prorated for the remainder of the current billing period so an archive and
reactivation cannot charge for the same time twice. To cancel, change the
payment method, or review invoices, use Manage subscription to open the
billing portal.
Usage limits
When a workspace reaches its monthly tool-call limit, further calls are
denied — they are never billed as overage. The usage check is cached briefly,
so the cutoff is approximate right at the boundary.
If payment fails
While a subscription is past due or unpaid:
The workspace falls back to the free-tier cap of 100 tool calls per month;
calls beyond the cap are denied and audited as denied until payment is
fixed.
Business entitlements such as audit export and managed SAML configuration
pause.
Audit retention is not shortened.
SAML sign-in keeps working, so an owner can still sign in and fix billing.
Managed customer workspaces
Managed customer workspace charges belong to the Stackyapper account that
manages them. A managed customer workspace has no Stackyapper billing controls;
the managing account owns the subscription. Customer identity is included with
each managed customer workspace; see
Customer identity and cloud access
for what is included.
Routine billing and cancellation assistance is available by email at
support@stackyapper.dev. See the
Support Policy for response targets
and service boundaries.
Investigate an unexpected estimate
Confirm the current workspace is the managing company workspace.
Compare the managed customer count with the Customers page.
Check whether the count crossed the 5-, 20-, or 50-workspace volume threshold.
Open Manage subscription and compare the current invoice.
